Most people when they look up at the stars think of a world that is far away, not possible here on earth. They dream of endless possibilities and hopes, but they rarely take actions to make those dreams come true. Most people look at the stars wishing and wishing and asking for things they want. Most people never look at the stars and say hello. This storyteller did, and he got an answer back, they had a job for him if he was willing.
The stars had waited so long for a dreamer to say hi to them, to be able to communicate with someone to help the earth, to apply for the job of storyteller. He said, okay sure why not, and the stars said "right answer."
Any worthwhile job has a stringent application and hiring process, and the stars are no exception. It's well, the most competitive and difficult job in existence, but this storyteller had never felt threatened by difficulty, ever. The stars said okay, and they said your begin work tomorrow.
The story teller had the most memorable and vivid dream he had ever had in his life. He looked out a huge window over lush earth sitting next to his mother. He was a child again. Then the light from all the stars poured down from the sky and covered every bit of matter. He woke up that morning and was ready to experience hell on earth.
The stars are very patient, and they don't think the way humans do. They can rewrite time faster than we can blink our eyes and they can make events that last centuries simply by shining a little brighter. Those twinkles are far from weak non-involved events, they determine everything in existence. It's important to work together with the stars, they can be a bit overly playful sometimes and not realize that their joyful games can actually hurt us.
That's why they liked the story teller though. He was quite vulnerable, had a heart as big as the stars, but never chose to abuse his power. It would and could destroy everything around him if he chose, but he knew that love was simply more fun and just an overall better option. He didn't understand pain and fear. The stars said "okay brave one, get ready for the unimagineable." He wasn't exactly phased by this, shrugged his shoulders, and said "bring it on."
The stars put him threw literal hell. They made him insane, they pushed his mind and body to the limits of existence and everything talked to him. They wanted to be sure that they could trust him to carry out important storytelling work, and if he ever ignored anything, well, they would give someone else the job. This storyteller was no pushover though, and the stars knew that. They sent him terrible dreams, terrible people, terrible everything. They made his life full of shit experiences growing up, full of pain and anger and stupidity. They made him experience everything in the realm of existence. They wanted to see if such a small and vulnerable human body could actually hack the position of story teller for the stars.
Needless to say, he passed with flying colors and he got the job. When you help out the stars just a little, they reward you exponentially. They knew his corporeal limits, so they never put him in any real danger. The story teller didn't know what fear was anymore, he didn't understand pain or anger. Those were not memories he could recall anymore. The human mind may be vast, but it does throw our information it doesn't need in order to fill itself with other useful stuff.
He remembered things like how to talk to plants. He remembered how to communicate with people's hearts without having to say a word. He remembered what a heavy heart felt like for others, and how to help them feel lighter simply by being close to them. He never had a break or vacation, but healing others was more than worth the work time he put in.
The thing the stars liked the most was to see people laugh and smile. When this happened, wonderful things would occur around the storyteller. The sea would move, the clouds would play, the birds would fly and the deer would run.
On his last day of the full time job process, almost 28 years after first applying for the job, the stars cut him loose. They cut him loose from the binds of fate and he was the first one to be able to move around freely through space-time in a long time. He would start with dreams and then move on to bigger things as his memories would return to him slowly seeped in again by the stars. The stars asked him what he would do now that he no longer had to be so greatly assisted by them, and he said he wanted to tell his story now.
The stars now made sure that their story teller could tell his story safely and without absurd criticism. They ensured that his loved ones were protected and that they would have sweet lives and dreams for as long as they lived. They would also ensure that when the time was right, they would also be free from the strings of fate. So many people had abused their free will for so long that fate sort of had to step in to keep us from hurting each other. Fate was karma, and karma was real so long as humans acted stupidly towards each other. Since this storyteller had taken the plunge though, the stars were going to cut a ton of people loose soon too. They were to be the initiators of a new dream sequence for the earth. Their dreams would be the new building blocks of societies and culture and life on the planet. For those who still acted out of hate instead of love, well, their reins would stay on just a bit longer until the dreamers could make it safe again for them to be cut loose as well. Nobody was really trapped, just some of them had been a tad too wreckless and just needed a time out.
The story teller was excited to start dreaming jointly with his friends and loved ones again. He remembered how fun it was to be in the dreams of others and vice versa, how we all value our diversity and use our dreams to create our lived realities. The stars allowed him to retire from the craziness of the tests and running around like a maniac. Instead, they protected and guided him so that he could write his own story, whatever he wanted, with whomever he wanted. The stars would make it happen. He was simple when it mattered, and he just wanted happiness and someone to share his dreams with, and that's exactly what the stars gave him.
In exchange for telling their story, the stars would fill his life with all the things others had thought impossible. Nothing that he could dream of would ever be impossible, it may take a bit of time, but the stars were expert dream granters, and their favorite storyteller had succeeded in helping the earth breathe again. Love, time, physical bodies, and dreams were now aligned, and they spread throughout the world rapidly. This storyteller retired from telling the story of our planet to now telling the story of the stars. We were all born in the stars after all, and it was time we remembered our most ancient memories to create one hell of an awesome future. The future is always now after all. He was free of pain and anger and fear and all that negative stuff. Nothing but love flowed from his heart from now on, so nothing but love could ever get close to him. Fear and pain could not physically exist around him anymore, and that was the best ever compensation the stars could give him for his work. He smiled because he knew it was going to be a good life until he could join the stars yet again. The stars liked it best when people were happy, it gave them purpose and allowed all the people to breathe in unison with the universe yet again.
